Valleys

Let the rains come

Let the clouds cover the sun

Let this valley be soaked

Where rivers of hope run

Look to the mountains

Where the peaks meet the sky

Let tired eyes rest

And cease asking why

Rain will stop falling

And the sunlight will return

Casting warmth on the earth

In this teaching we learn

Seasons and days

Pass ticking with time

A heart that is mindful

Abides strong in the vine

Let new wine be pressed

Let the sun grow new grapes

This valley of shadows

Prepares and creates

Refinement and mercy

Readies my heart for new things

Growth in the process

Come what Yahweh brings
